Résumé Anglais | This report deals with the characteristics of hive products. The aim is to present the results of botanic assessments and propose a floristic profile of honey in Cameroon. The methodology consists of laboratory analysis and botanic assessments with three bee products like propolis, honey and wax. Results from laboratory studies reveal that propolis is a mix of bees wax and resins collected from plants, particularly flowers, leafs buds and resisns, mixed with saliva and others secretions. Cameroonian Propolis has potential in prevention and therapy of many deseases. Cameroonian honey mainly originate from the North West, South West and Adamaoua regions in Cameroon. |
